Terms & Conditions

Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations must be submitted within 1 to 3 business days as long as the order has not been shipped.
  • It must be in writing to our email: info@localhvacequipment.com to receive a 100% refund.
  • Refunds will be returned in the same method in which payment was originally processed.
  • If an order is canceled after 3 business days, we reserve the right to charge a 5% restocking fee.
  • Once an ordered item has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled. If an order is refused at delivery, you will be charged a 15% restocking/admin fee.
  • If an order is shipped and the order is damaged or missing there would be no restocking fee and we would send a new order.

For items delivered but refused for anything other than damage, the customer is responsible for the followings:

  • The original outbound shipping costs incurred by Local HVAC Equipment.
  • The shipping costs to return the order to our warehouse.
  • A 15% restocking fee based on the total purchase price.

Returns and Refund Policy

Due to the federally-mandated change from R410a refrigerant to R32 and R454B, we will no longer accept refunds on refrigerant Orders already shipped to you. We won't issue a refund.

Exemptions to this new rule include:

  • Any equipment we ship in error not in compliance with the order you placed can be returned subject to our 14 day return policy
  • Orders that are damaged during shipping in compliance with the Local Hvac Equipment terms can also be returned and replaced.

In the event that you need to return your purchased item(s), we will refund your purchase price less shipping and handling provided you meet these minimum criteria. There will be a 15% restocking fee based on the total price of your order plus all associated insured freight costs to deliver and return materials to the warehouse.

  • The original box must be neatly and not damaged or riped. If original boxes are missing or riped there would be a 30% Restocking fee.
  • The equipment must be in like new condition meaning the original merchandise and boxes must be in the same condition as when received.
  • The equipment or merchandise must not have been installed, damaged, or scratched.
  • If the equipment has been installed refunds won't be accepted.
  • All Manufacturer documentation must be included (specification sheets, installation guides and warranty information).
  • Any equipment received by freight carriers must be returned in the same manner.
  • Smaller returns must be sent with tracking information (ie: Fedex or UPS).

Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Shipping cost will be deducted for any items returned that originated with “Free Shipping” based on the actual cost incurred by Local Hvac Equipment.

Local HVAC Equipment will accept returns of equipment for a period of 14 days from the date of receipt by the customer. Returns requested after the 14-day period will not be accepted without the manufacturer’s approval. This policy covers both systems and/or supplies. The cost of the original freight and the return insured freight is the responsibility of the buyer.

Local Hvac Equipment is not responsible for damaged or lost shipments. We will assist in filing a claim with the shipper regarding lost shipments. Visibly damaged shipments must be refused at time of delivery.

Refunds will be credited in the same manner in which payment was received (i.e. credit or debit card). Please allow up to 3 weeks for refund from the time Local Hvac Equipment receives your equipment return.

Local HVAC Equipment Order Fulfillment

Incorrect items or short shipped items listed on the signed packing slip must be reported to us in writing within 24 hours of the receipt of the shipment. Shortages that are not noted on the signed delivery receipt will not be accepted by Local Hvac Equipment. If the error was on our part, We will be responsible for return and replacement shipping costs.

Shipping Info/Shipping Claims/ Refunds/Replacement

Please read our Shipping Information carefully. Claims resulting from shipping damage will be the responsibility of the customer to resolve with the carrier. We are happy to assist you in this process for you. However, the delivering carrier has final say as to the outcome of your claim.

Liability

Local Hvac Equipment cannot be held liable for damages, consequential or inconsequential, resulting from the installation or operation of equipment. This equipment IS NOT intended to be installed by anyone without the proper expertise, background, and certification. While we acknowledge and applaud do-it-yourselfers, you accept all risk for both installation and equipment selection.

We strongly encourage an on-site inspection by a certified professional. Our advice is the result of information obtained by you and is limited in that we don't have full knowledge of the details and scope of your particular needs. We will do our best, given the limited circumstances under which our advice is administered, to provide you with accurate and up to date information.

Please Read Our Warranty Policy Carefully

All equipment sold by Local Hvac Equipment includes a Manufacturer’s Warranty. We recommend that you read the full Warranty included with your purchase to understand what is or is not included in their Warranty. This information could also be found on the Manufacturer’s individual websites. We strongly recommend registering your equipment with the manufacturer immediately upon installation. Installation must be completed by a licensed contractor for warranty purposes within 45 days of equipment receipt.

Manufacturer’s Warranty does not include replacement of entire systems, only parts, as necessary at the manufacturer’s discretion.

Unless otherwise stated, in the event a warranty repair is required, simply contact a local air conditioning & heating professional and they can obtain the replacement part free of charge or, if necessary, the manufacturer may provide the replacement part. Shipping and handling charges are the customer's responsibility. This equipment IS NOT intended to be installed by anyone without the proper expertise, background, and certification. While we acknowledge and applaud do-it-yourselfers, you accept all risk for both installation and equipment selection. Any applicable warranty will be void if the installation is not completed by a licensed contractor adhering to all applicable federal, State, and local codes, and licensing requirements.

To validate your warranty claim, a licensed contractor must diagnose the failure and identify the specific part or parts that have failed. This diagnosis must be detailed on a service ticket or company letterhead from the contractor and a copy submitted with the returned part. Failure to submit this diagnosis will result in denial of any warranty claim. It is the customer's responsibility to register equipment online with the manufacturer. In the unlikely event assistance is needed through Local HVAC Equipment, an administrative fee of $75 will be charged. All warranty parts must be prepaid by the customer. Once the manufacturer approves and satisfies the warranty claim, the cost of the parts will be refunded. Shipping costs for warranty parts are the customer’s responsibility.

Purchases from Local Hvac Equipment do not include any labor warranty. A labor warranty may be provided by your licensed contractor.

Local Hvac Equipment does not provide any additional warranty other than the manufacturer’s warranty.

Important Notice

Purchaser hereby acknowledges that federal law prohibits opening the refrigeration lines of any equipment purchase. A properly licensed person must handle the refrigerant contained in any unit/system. Purchaser hereby assumes full responsibility for the safe and proper installation in accordance with applicable local code requirements.

Equipment Selection

Local Hvac Equipment does not guarantee or accept responsibility for the merchantability or fitness of the equipment for any particular application. Any suggestions that may be provided by Local HVAC Equipment concerning system sizing and/or selection are subject to an on site inspection by a knowledgeable professional to confirm suitability and fitness for your project. Always have your purchase choice reviewed by a local contractor prior to placing an order with Local HVAC Equipment to ensure compatibility with your application.

Typographical Errors and Inaccuracies

The information on this Web site may contain typographical errors or inaccuracies and may not be complete or current. We reserve the right to correct errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice. Please note that such errors, inaccuracies or omissions may relate to product description, pricing and availability.

In the event that an item is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to an error in pricing or product information, Local HVAC Equipment shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item. If an item is mispriced, Local HVAC Equipment may, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation. Our Web site contains information from many different sources, and it is possible for the occasional typographical error to get by us.
